Within the technical architecture of NGECS, one of the crucial points is the protection and oppressionagainst invading UAVs. To address this problem, a verifiably efficient solution, the Distributed UAV Detection and Countermeasure System(DUDCS),is proposed in this technical specification document, which also can be seen as a subsystem of NGECS.
DUDCS is constructed based on distributed coordination mechanism, which has the characteristics of three-dimensional space coordination and control closed loop from perception (UAV reconnaissance, radar detection, radio link detection, EO re-check), analysis and pre-warning (distributed C&C center platform), communication (wide-band information interaction) and suppress/strike (soft attack method like jamming and other physical attacks).

DUDCS is advanced and securer. Its prominent characteristics are as follows:

DUDCS is a flexible and scalable system, which provides three different application forms: large-scale JS system, middle-scale JS system, and small-scale JS system.
(1) large -scale JS system
The large-scale JS system has a long operation distance of above 100km at UAV data link working frequency of UHF and C band. Each set of large-scale JS system consists of one UHF-Band detection compartment, one UHF-Band JScompartment, two C-Band detection compartment, one C-Band JS compartment.

(2) middle-scale JS system:
The middle-scale JS system has a medium operation distance of 4km.

(3) small-scale JS system:
The small-scale JS system can be easily used and has a shorter operation distance of 1km.
